Champagne Lassalle
Producing in the region of 100,000 bottles per year of either Premiere or Grand Cru Champagne this is a small family business set in the heart of the Montagne de Reims in Chigny Les Roses, that produces absolutely top quality champagne with great elegance, length and depth.
With a focus on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier the ages of the vines range from 10 to 40 years old.
Named after Jules Lassalle this business has been operated by three generations of female producers-the current winemaker being Angeline Templier. This is truly a family business with the grapes being grown and vinifide by themselves-even to the point of hand disgorgement.
The non vintage Cuvee Preference is made predominantly from Pinot Meunier and receives 4 years of bottle age before releasing. In 2003 this wine came a fantastic 7th place in the Wine Spectators tasting of Non vintage, Vintage and Special Cuvee including the likes of Dom Perignon and Krug
